Worldwide, millions of people work in clothing, textile and shoe production.
The vast majority are not paid enough to meet their basic needs.
This needs to change!
That is why the Good Clothes Fair Pay campaign has been set up, a European Citizens’ Initiative for a living wage in the clothing supply chain. We want legislation that contributes to fair wages for makers in the global clothing industry.
Therefore we need 1 million signatures from EU citizens to push for legislation that makes clothing brands responsible for paying living wages throughout the supply chain.
Solidaridad asked us to create an Activation to raise awareness and to collect the so hard needed signatures. For the Netherlands the goal is set on 20.000 signatures before mid 2023.
Although there are already many ways you can contribute to a better and fair world, like buying vintage, repair your clothing or renting, signing a petition is not something that comes to mind. Too many people think that one signature makes little difference. But in fact is it the most powerful statement you can make! A signature can change the world and enough signatures can even create legislation.
In the Signastore we want to visualize the power of the signature. The impact enough signatures can make and create. We invite people to sign. Not only online, but also physically with markers and graffity spray cans on the walls, furniture, floor or the clothing.
We start the Black Friday week with a bright white room and end with a place full of color and support for the campaign.
Famous artist Janisdeman will put the first signature during the official opening. The facade is painted by him. Anyone who passes by the building will see that it is time for a colorful action!
The Solidaridad Signastore was featured in LINDA, NOS, AD en RTV Utrecht.

Quaranzine Mag is digital magazine/platform where creatives showcase their work created during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Especially during this period full of limitations and restrictions it is amazing to see that creativity can and will flourish even though it sometimes is in a different shape or form that some of these artists were used to. To create with minimal tools, no pressure and no deadlines we create from the heart again. Creativity evolves.
Quaranzine Mag has been featured in Volkskrant Magazine, Vogue NL and in the ADCN Quarantine Creativity newsletter.

Our Missed The Boat Party was uniquely designed for those unfortunate tourists who showed up in Amsterdam to celebrate Queen's Day...three days late. Unaware that since 2013 The Netherlands has had a King, and accordingly a King’s Day celebration three days earlier, they arrived all dressed in orange and nowhere to go. So, to ease their disappointment, we invited them to a free Missed The Boat Party, hosted by Sid Lee Collective.
The Result? A tremendous amount of media attention and reaching over 2.5 million people with a limited budget of just 1500 euro.

For the release of the VANS x OFFICE collaboration I was asked to came up with a concept for a mouthwatering advertorial.
Since the collaboration was only available in the UK I thought it was fitted to play with the iconic UK dish "Fish & Chips".

Worldwide millions of textile workers are underpaid.
With extreme working hours, discrimination and dangerous working conditions as a result.
Women often have the hardest time, because they are paid less than men and usually do not have the opportunity to develop into, for example, a manager or specialist.
Governments, companies and consumers must act to change this situation.
The number of people who actually opt for sustainable products must grow. With more discerning consumers, companies will feel more pressure to tighten their sustainability policies.
Don’t turn a blind eye and open your eyes for reality.
Ask yourself what you can do!

ADIDAS EMPLOYEES ARE #HERE TO CREATE
Concept, Art Direction
Wouldn’t it be great if we could all make the most of creativity in our daily jobs? At adidas you can. Better yet, you should. It was time for everyone to know about it.
In “Here to Create”, our global Employer Brand campaign for adidas aiming to attract digital talent, we show how sport enables adidas employees’ digital creativity. Through an action-packed manifesto and seven epic testimonials with real adidas “Creators”, we bring to life the company’s unique culture and values. How? By highlighting how employees translate the qualities learned from sport into success at work.
To make all of them feel part of the campaign, we created an interactive tool that allows adidas employees to put themselves alongside the other Creators, and, quite literally, to add their voice to the Here to Create manifesto. They are able then to share their personalised videos within their own social network.
Check out the films and discover how “sport has the power to change lives”.

Prestage magazine features a dynamic mix of high-end fashion, luxury, art, photography, new talents and unique fashion editorials. It pays homage to international well-known names, while championing the new and the next. The magazine goes behind the scenes to chronicle the new generation, great artists, influential personalities, stories and defining moments in the world of fashion.
For Prestage magazine I was asked to create an Advertorial for EASTPAK. To highlight the minimalistic feel and design of the iconic leather edition of the brand I choose a serene and minimalistic scene, marble statues.
To pay a homage to our other advertisers FENDI and ARMANI, we shot two extra images. The names of the bags, FENDI Peekaboo and the ARMANI Love bag correspond with the emotions or poses of the statues.

Every year, billions of cigarette butts end up in dumpsters and landfills, or get tossed as litter on shorelines, parks, and sidewalks across the city of Amsterdam.
What if we can create smoking zones in the city of Amsterdam. The iconic “Amsterdammertje” can easily be transformed into an ashtray, ready for the city department to collect the waste and to be put to good use which is recycling.
The waste collected can be recycled into a variety of industrial products, such as plastic pallets, and any remaining tobacco is recycled as compost.
We will ask Amsterdam artists to use the Amsterdammertje as their canvas and to create the “Asterdammertje”. A line of “Asterdammertjes will mark the smoking zone.

The exclusive Sarrià Round Basket by Alessi was designed by the Spanish architect Lluís Clotet. The bowl is made of stainless steel with a design inspired by the light reflected off a folded and shaped piece of silver paper.
I was asked to create one strong image to introduce this beautiful designed new line to the the public.
What better way to use silver paper to reinforce the design.

With effect from 1 January 2016, free plastic bags are prohibited in the Netherlands. This measure is intended to combat litter on the streets and in the sea, and prevent wastage of resources.
As a reaction on this prohibition Albert Heijn created the “Albert Mijn Bag”. A personalized canvas eco bag where the iconic logo of Albert Heijn, the A and the H are transformed into your own initials. In this example my own initials the A and the B.
For just €1,- you can order this personalized shopper on their website.

Inspired by the movement "shorthairdontcare" which saw top runway models in 2015/16 opting for a shaved head and male models strutting down the runway at women's shows, I created this portrait series.
I wanted to demonstrate the melting together of genders and support the movement to eliminate bias.
